Celebrate World Parrot Day
Every May 31st, the world pauses to celebrate parrots, their color, their intelligence, and the urgent need to protect them. This year, I’m celebrating a few days early with a sale that brings together three of my favorite bilingual resources, all centered on tropical birds, and rainforests.

Why World Parrot Day?
World Parrot Day is celebrated every May 31st to raise awareness about parrot conservation and the many species around the world that are endangered including our beloved cotorra puertorriqueña. Once nearly extinct, this brilliant green parrot has made a slow and hopeful comeback thanks to decades of conservation efforts in Puerto Rico.
As a Latina author and Spanish educator, la cotorra puertorriqueña holds a very special place in my heart, he’s the star of my bilingual book Coco, la cotorra puertorriqueña / Coco the Puerto Rican Parrot, and a symbol of resilience, culture, and the natural beauty of the island. These resources were created to bring that love into classrooms and homes everywhere.
Who are these resources for?
Whether you’re a Spanish teacher looking for ready-to-use materials or a bilingual parent wanting to bring more Spanish into your home these resources were made with you in mind. They’re culturally rich, and designed to make learning feel like a celebration.
Ready to bring some cotorra magic into your classroom or home?
