As a parent myself, I found myself talking more in the community language, English, rather than in Spanish my heritage language with our son. It wasn’t until he turned 4 years old, that I had a wake-up call! It was now or never. I took it upon myself to teach Spanish to my child. That was 11 years ago! Throughout the years, bilingualism has played an important role in our lives.
As a second-generation Latina, I yearned for my child, a third-generation Afro-Latino to communicate with his extended family. Trust me, it wasn’t easy, yet I pushed through because I wanted him to be bilingual. He’s now a 15-year-old bilingual and talks to his Abuela in Puerto Rico in Spanish. Fast forward, years later I enrolled in graduate school and pursued a master’s in languages specifically in Spanish.
My profound love for teaching Spanish has been a guiding force in earning my Master’s degree in education with a focus on Spanish. I have the privilege of teaching Spanish to elementary, middle and high school students and I love to teach Spanish! My teaching approach goes beyond language instruction; I aim to bridge the language barrier by connecting heritage and culture, making Spanish language acquisition enjoyable and comprehensible.
I began offering online Spanish lessons to children and teens from backgrounds similar to my own, third-generation Latino families. My mission centers on empowering families to reconnect with their heritage language and traditions, with a special emphasis on helping third-generation Latino children and teens reclaim and maintain their Spanish language abilities and cultural heritage.

About the Online Spanish Lessons:
- I teach Spanish to children and teenagers. Sorry, no adults at this time.
- My Spanish online classes for kids have a duration of 25 minutes.
- One-on-one instruction.
- I use Zoom for all online lessons. The use of the platform is free and it doesn’t cost you anything to use. You can connect with a device such as a computer, laptop, tablet, iPad, or smartphone. Headset or earphones are very helpful.
- Spanish online lessons are personalized and customized to your child or teen’s needs.
- Comprehensible Input Curriculum.

Free 1:1 consultation meeting
My free 1:1 consultations are about 15 minutes, a relaxed chance to meet you and your child, answer your questions, and get a feel for your (or your child’s) learning style and Spanish level. We’ll just chat casually; easy peasy! It’s also the perfect time to see if we’re a good match.
Spanish on-line lesson packages:
The rates below are for 25 min. sessions. If you’re interested in longer sessions, I can offer rates for 50 min. sessions as well.
Important:
An invoice will be provided upon agreement to enroll in Spanish online lessons or tutoring sessions. The invoice must be paid in advance and in full. Upon receipt of payment, I will send an email with the links for the classes and access to your Google folder.
Please note that you can cancel or change your lesson within 24 hours. If you (or your child) are not present at the agreed (scheduled) time I will wait for 10 minutes. No-shows will count as a lesson that has been given.
